Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development: Conduct research to identify new materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes that can improve foil performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Material Testing: Design and perform experiments to assess the mechanical, thermal, electrical, and chemical properties of foil materials. Analyze test data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new foil products or modify existing ones to meet specific customer or industry requirements.
- Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that foil materials and coatings meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Process Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes for foil production, including casting, rolling, and coating, to enhance material properties and production efficiency.
- Coating Development: Develop and test coatings and surface treatments for foils to improve properties such as corrosion resistance, adhesion, or electrical conductivity.
- Testing and Analysis: Use advanced testing equipment and software to analyze material properties, assess product performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that foil materials and coatings comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications and Eligibility:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in materials science, materials engineering, metallurgy, or a related field is typically required. A master’s or Ph.D. may be preferred for more advanced positions.
Experience:
- Previous experience in materials engineering, particularly in a manufacturing or research and development (R&D) environment, is beneficial.
- Familiarity with materials used in foil production, such as aluminum, copper, and coatings, is an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of materials science principles, including material properties and behavior under various conditions.
- Proficiency in conducting material testing and analysis using laboratory equipment and software.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address material-related issues.
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
